NUS Mascot And NTU Mascot
Mascots In NUS And NTU
Mascots are cute objects (human-like or non-human-like) that represent an organization or entity. Universities in Singapore have their unique mascots and see relevant mascots souvenir or merchandise around the campus. Today, let me introduce NUS mascot and NTU mascot to you!
NUS Mascot
NUS mascot is named LiNUS. It is a little cute lion on the left. It looks very similar to the lion in the NUS logo below - blue hair and orange body.
Li probably stands for "Lion" and NUS for "National University of Singapore". If you are a programmer, you definitely know Linus. LAME JOKE.
There are lots of LiNUS-branded souvenir and merchandise in the COOP shop around NUS.
NTU Mascot
NTU unveiled its first mascot in August 2013. It is a lion too! Lyon. It represents strength, courage and fearlessness which coincides with NTU school value.
To me, I feel it looks somewhat similar to NUS mascot. Don't you think so? But we can't really blame the creator because it is also a lion in NTU logo.
Here is Lyon merchandise that you can find in school souvenir shops. I am not an NTU student, so you may find more in the shop!
